Whoops. I forgot this thing was here

Small mental lapse. I know dozens of you were checking for and update, just hoping....

WELL HERE IT IS BABY!

Then again, I really don't have much of anything to report. Well, that's not entirely true. Through the suggestion of some of my poker buds, I have ventured into the wonderous world that is Limit Hold 'Em. Now, I've never been a limit guy, simply because it's based on your cards, odds, and worst of all people who will chase with just about anything at the lower limits.

I'm about 2 weeks in and I think I'm up like $50, so it is doing something. At the same time, it can be a grinding bore where ridiculous calls and suckouts can drive you nuts. Funny thing is, I'm talking to guys who have some funky looking ROI as far as BB/100 goes and I'm thinking...."Is this how I want to build a bankroll?"

Truth is, I don't know. The risk is much lower, but grinding out $50 a week at 1/2 is getting old quick. I've opened up an account with Party and tried their SnGs. Not as good a structure as UB, but they're faster and the play is a little worse. In other words, I'm probably going back to SnGs for BR increase.

A bit of good news, my MTT streak of hell seems to be dying. Played in a couple over the last couple of days and cashed in both. 40th out of 450 in the 10PM at UB ($30+3) and playing in my first MTT at Party ($10+1) with over 1400, finished 120th or so. I haven't exactly been setting the world on fire with card quality lately (in the Party tourney I had NOTHING), so these recent finishes are definitely something to build on.

I really think I'm getting better as a player overall. I had a similar run this summer and lost my ass. I have actually been able to build, not much, but it's definitely better than going backwards.

4 days of work this week then I'm off for the rest of the year. YIPPEEEEEEE. Will be the longest break I've had in 3 years and I'm looking forward to it. I have very little planned and other than a couple of dinners, I'm going to do nothing and enjoy it.

If anything earth shattering happens, I'll post it up.

Otherwise.....MERRY CHRISTMAS.
